Currently there are 8 Osteopathic schools in the UK.
They provide 4-5 year degree courses combining academic and clinical ‘hands-on’ training. They are certificated BSc(hons), BOst, BOstMed or MOst.
Subjects covered are anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, nutrition, biomechanics, psychology, sociology, embryology.
A minimum 1000 hours clinical training is required prior to final exams.
On graduation there is automatic entry onto the Osteopathic Register.
